Music Video Notes (14/06/13)
What images do they use?
bright exotic images, with blue skys and beaches. the typical
lavish lifestyle of a wealthy man, trying to live life to the fulest. The use of two shots close ups and long shots also links to distance in how far they have come to make it this big. As well as them not discriminating against people of different backgrounds and classes, which is highlighted in the relationship that has emerged between fabolous and the maid.
How does the images link to the song?
the song is called 'ready' which links to the images of someone being ready to take a step to commitnment/ taking the next step to get what they want. in this case it is Fabulous falling for the maid in hiis room out on a sunny island. he hopes tat she would take the hint of him gettong her passport and come away with him. she doesnt and he feels gutted until the car door is opened and he sees her sitting in the back seat.
How does it promote the band/singer?
shows that they are living a lavish lifestyle which would indicate there success within the music industry. Highlighting that they work hard also to get to where they are. Chris brown shows that he has reached the top, this is illustrated in him standing at the top of a mountain looking down and around himself- success is at its greatest.
How does it get you to remember the song?
they use a cathcy chorus and the people staring in the footage are well known established singers/actors. Also the story which is created through the lyrics and the footage all coincidence with one another. It illustrates a clear message of being "ready" for the unexpected as good things comes to those who work hard and are mannersable to people.
